Backyard Compost Mini-Workshop

April 2 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

We can grow our community resilience by turning kitchen scraps into fertile soil!

Get the low-down on worm farms, hot composting and long-term low maintenance piles.

We will discuss composting toilets and how to break down other unusual organic materials.

All organic matter can go back to the Earth. Learn about why this is so important for our planet and our gardens. You will learn about soil microorganisms, how they interact with plant roots, as well as how organic matter in the soil helps regulate climate on a global scale.

Ampersand has been composting on site for 18 years. Come see our systems and determine what will work for you.

Make soil, sequester carbon, make friends with microorganisms.
$35 per person. Contact us if you want to arrange non currency based reciprocity.
