Spend the day playing and feasting in Ampersand’s solar and sustainable kitchen!
We have 20 years of solar cooking experience and use the sun as our primary means of cooking. Want to make a lasagna? Cook beans, pies, soups? We can help. Learn about the range of solar cookers, cooking techniques, appropriate cookware, canning in solar ovens, and safe temperature ranges. At the end of the day we’ll taste our solar cooked creations.

We also use rocket stoves for cooking. We sprout, solar dehydrate and ferment vegetables, as well as employ natural cleaning products. We’ll discuss how to integrate these into your current life style.
