See how we live off rainwater at Ampersand! Your living environment can also be designed to make best use of our precious desert water. The way the infrastructure is set up can decide how much food can be grown and how much water is needed to live on. This includes storage tanks, the way the land is shaped, and how the water is reused. Ampersand’s site thrives on rain catchment as our only source of water and we will show you how we harvest, store, filter, recycle, and manage the water for human needs and gardens.

Tour our off-grid site and see:

• rain catchment throughout the built environment and water budgeting techniques
• water harvesting earthworks for food growing and land restoration
• water distribution and irrigation strategies
• greywater systems in a greenhouse and outdoors
• water harvesting greenhouses, catching the rain for indoor cultivation

There will also be time to answer questions pertaining to your own projects.
