Ampersand's spring events begin in March. In case you have not yet noticed the patterns to our offerings, there is one! Our spring events are heavy on the educational hikes. We are inspired to get out on the land and learn more about our beautiful environment. Our new offering is called Floodplains and Flowforms Hike where we traverse the arroyos and look at vegetative response to flooding and changes in the land patterns.
We also offer opportunities for folks of all ages to come out and see what Ampersand is all about. We have noticed an upsurge of interest in local food production, and we are happy to show you our greenhouse, cold frame, and perennial beds which we have been harvesting from all winter. Come for a picnic or an open house and get some ideas for your own home.
We offer the more technical classes for designing and maintaining sustainable systems once our internship program begins in late May. Hope to see you this Spring!
We have included some photos that show our winter food production. The tomatoes have been especially tasty this winter, and our lime tree in the greenhouse is finally setting great fruit!
