The goodness of Fall is upon us! I always love this change of seasons especially when a good fruit year leaves us with a pantry full of sweets. As we pull out the jungles of frosted summer plants and fill beds with baby greens, we also transition our site into a more passive mode. Our last public event of the year is this Sunday and our summer intern departs shortly.
And you only have a week to view our free rain catchment class for this year.
While our site won't be available to visit in November, you can still scheduletours through the winter, and book our retreat spaces.
This Sunday, October 27
Create with us a community of sharing and dialogue. Chaos Cafe acknowledges our unpredictable global climactic balance and the resulting precariousness of our local economies and ability to meet our needs.
We gather to be present with our predicament, engaging our hearts and minds, and compassionately looking towards the future. Join us for our second gathering of this kind!
4pm Ampersand seasonal show and tell
4:30 to 4:15 Presentation
This month our presentation will be given by Elizabeth Hellstrom. It is called Defining Hope and builds on last month's Chaos Cafe topic. Jem Bendell's paper Deep Adaptation is suggested reading for this event.
Shout Out to Rebekah Vineyard! She has lived at Ampersand all summer, contributing so many hours of work and careful attendance to Ampersand's gardens and other projects. It has been a joy to show her all she is capable of and Rebekah has risen to the occasion every time. We are so proud of you Bekah and excited to see what other amazing projects you help bring into this world!!!
