We had a visit this summer by a film crew who have put together a documentary series called The Search for Sustainability. The interview at Ampersand with Amanda Bramble is included in this series which focuses on uplifting voices speaking about global emergencies involving food and water and finances. The interviews suggest how we might be able to avoid disaster and thrive in a sustainable way. There are a wide range of issues covered and it's available for free online between November 1st to 12th. Check out the trailer and see everyone involved in the documentary here:
We had a visit from Santa Fe Prep and Albuquerque Academy recently too. Thanks to all these students for great conversation about how to always go deeper and further into the path towards sustainability.
What an amazing past couple of weeks we have had at Ampersand!
We are now just regrouping from the Radical Mycology Mushroom Cultivation Workshop. We had a full house with participants coming all the way from Colorado and Idaho! Luckily there were plenty of Santa Fe and Albuquerque folks too and we look forward to helping our local mycology community grow. Most of us are beginner mushroom cultivators and we have much to learn about how all this will work in our climate. We learned that mushroom cultivation draws an especially wonderful crowd. We will keep you posted! Thanks Radical Mycology!
Our first Archeology Hike was an amazing success! With the help of expert eyes we were able to learn more about the layers of relationship that people have had with this land in centuries past.
