At Ampersand we are responding to the need for real change by developing workshops with the goal of facilitating movement towards self sufficiency, community resilience, and work that responds to the needs of our hearts.  So lets just get on with it and get started early this year!  Once the weather warms we are looking forward to events for your children and families and greeting the budding green life together in Spring.

Water is Life: a Workshop and Fundraiser for Water Protectors Legal Collective
January 21st, Saturday 10am to 2pm

When we work on the land to make arid environments flourish, we plant the water first. This creates a fertile environment from which life can grow.

Living water flows within us. A good relationship with elemental water, and tapping into fluid patterns within our lives, helps our investments of energy flourish.

How do we create fertile environments within our lives to support the seeds we plant? The answer will be particular to each of us. In this workshop sacred water will guide us there.

The day will include:

  • self reflection exercise
  • observing design that recognizes the sacredness of water
  • small group dialogue
  • gentle and intentional work on the land
.Our winter workshop space is limited, so please RSVP to reserve your spot. Suggested donation $30 to $60 or more for Water Protectors Legal Collective.

Developing a Permaculture Practice

February 26, Sunday.  10am to 3pm

Effective change can start in a small and gentle way with the help of Permaculture's guiding principles. By exploring strategies like Optimizing the Edge and Making the Least Change for the Greatest Effect, we can work towards self sufficiency and community resilience.

While many of us agree with the ethics of Permaculture (Care for the Earth, Care for People, and Fair Share of Surplus), deepening our commitment to them can be best accomplished as a collective journey that takes community support.

Ampersand's site demonstrates many examples of Permaculture design and our experience with building community can offer insight. However, the right next steps for you will arise from your personal lifestyle and inspiration.

Find more ways to demonstrate this care for the earth and for people in a way that speaks to your spirit and adds a level of fulfillment to your life.
$50 per participant.  Discounts available.   RSVP to
