Knife Sharpening

Chisels, Saws and Pruners Too!

April 12, Sunday. 1pm to 4pm  $25

It’s time to get that favorite kitchen knife sharp again. Your pruners are probably ready for some attention too.  After this class, you will know all you need for keeping it sharp year after year.

Bruce Gray, antique tool specialist, will guide us through the sharpening process.  He will cover the initial work involved for creating a sharp edge on a severely dulled steel tool as well as maintaining edges on knives, chisels, saws, pruners, and axes.  There are many varieties of sharpening stones and surfaces: natural stones, composite stones, oil stones and water stones, grinders, files and polishes.  Find out what is important to take care of your specific sharpening needs.  Bring your tools that need sharpening!

Enrollment is limited. Please RSVP to save your spot.
