Homeschool Day and Native Plant Hike

Homeschool Homestead Day

This Friday, October 2
11am to 2pm

This event is especially for homeschooling families, but all are invited!

This event is to call the diversity of our community to share in a village atmosphere of fun and productivity.  All ages are invited to join us for some seasonal homesteading activities.  We will be applying a layer of earth plaster on a building, making prickly pear juice with the last fruits of the season, and chopping apples for the solar dehydrator.
Bring a lunch!  $10 per adult, please only 3 children per adult.
RSVP: amanda@ampersandproject.org

Thanks to everyone who came for our Water Walkthrough!

Native Plant Hike

Sunday, October 4
2pm to 4pm

Spend a couple hours getting to know our local plants and enjoying the land.  We will discuss natural history, medicinal uses, land restoration, and tips for identifying our plant friends.

Bring your own knowledge of native plants, your curiosity, and a notepad or sketchbook if you like.
Suggested Donation $10 per person.  Kids free.
RSVP: amanda@ampersandproject.org
