We are excited about this year's Native Plant walk as it's the first time in a few years we actually have some spring flowers! Moisture from last year's monsoon season is still beneath the soil. We have even discovered a special plant that we have never seen here before.
Join us for some plant appreciation. We will look at interactions between soil and water and plants in Ampersand's built environment- think clothesline drip wildflowers- as well as in the wilder areas that we manage and the ones we don't.
We will discuss natural history, medicinal uses, and tips for identifying our plant friends. The point of this walk is to enjoy the beauty of the land and to get to know her a little better. You might like to bring a notebook or sketchbook. You will be encouraged to share your own knowledge and experiences.
$10 suggested donation. Bring your kids for free.
It's nice to know you will be joining us. You can RSVP by responding to this email.
