Resources from past Chaos Cafe gatherings:
For the January gathering, Hydrologist Dick Thomas shared with us his knowledge from studying and monitoring local water supply and movement for the past 40+ years. Although his professional career took him as far afield as Australia and the Middle East, he spent a large part of his career studying surface water and groundwater in New Mexico. His avocation since moving to the Madrid area in 1968 has been to understand the groundwater and surface water of this area.
Dick described where our water comes from, to review of the nature and occurrence of water in this area, with the goal of removing some of the mystery surrounding groundwater.
