Ready to design your own greywater system? After this class you will be. Your household wastewater is an important resource that can be used safely for creating gardens and wildlife habitats in our dry climate. You can create your own greywater discharge areas by installing appropriately sized mulch basins and infiltration chambers. This class covers New Mexico greywater code, appropriate soaps for use and basic gravity-fed greywater systems, as well as simple laundry-to-landscape designs.
We can transform our home environments by designing with nature. This necessitates an integrated approach. Learn what roles rain catchment, plant choices, and water conservation play in designing effective greywater systems. Amanda will share photos of a variety of installations, including those at Ampersand Sustainable Learning Center.
Participants are invited to ask questions about systems they can create at home and share photos of their project sites.
Class is $35. After paying, please complete registration below.
